Bizarre Review

Bizarre Review Vol 1 No 1

Bizarre Review was a late entrant to the S.R.A. selection of magazines, with the first copy going on sale, I believe, around about April or May 1976. Its content was different from the others in that it covered the more exotic and extreme end of fetishism for a while, but, for only a few issues, from Issue 5 it took on some of the Accord content with The World of Transvestism and Fighting Girls.

At this time, Accord was coming to the end of its life and you wonder whether Bizarre Review was intended to replace it. From issue 10, in February 1977, Swish Publications took it on as one of their titles and its content changed again, with it featuring a specific fetish topic in each issue.

The World of Transvestism got its own publication called Tranz with Brian Douglas as the editor but, again, after a short transitional period it ended up also being published by Swish.

I have very few copies of Bizarre Review and am weak on its history and future, so any help or further insight would be greatly received. I will update this page as I discover more.
