Helen Milligan
Also known as – Helen Brodie, Margaret Blair
Another of the Scottish girls in the Bearsden stables. Helen was a fashion model and secretary from the Glasgow area who supposedly went to an exclusive public school for girls. Perhaps that’s where she acquired her liking for skiing in Switzerland.
Helen was one of the few models to have appeared in all three main titles in the same month – April 1964. And making the cover on her debut is another feather in her cap.
She worked solo but also did some famous duo sessions with Ruth Cavendish. She was also a regular wearer of directoire knickers, de rigeur for photographer Fullarton. I sometimes wonder whether his passion for passion killers was because he wore them himself.
