Angeline Dunmore
Angeline came from the Addiscombe district of Croydon in South-West London, just round the corner from the ToCo offices.
It appears that she was not ‘found’ but contacted the magazine herself while she was a student at the Neil LÉsprance School of Dancing and Drama and working in a local office to fund herself. With her great figure, chestnut hair and green eyes, she made an instant impression. So it is something of a mystery that she appeared in ToCo magazines for only three or four years. The blurb from Span 65 gives a clue – she took a break to have a baby. Well, it may be true – but any woman who has had a baby would kill to have such a flat tummy afterwards.
When she was not filing papers, performing pirouettes and flashing her knickers and suspenders for our delight, Angeline kept trim by swimming, cycling and country walks, and she loved travelling.
And we love the fact that she sometimes wore a girdle.
