Diane was a very attractive dark-eyed Middlesex girl with shapely legs that seemed to go on forever. She was said to be a secretary and a beauty queen who aspired to becoming a model and doing TV commercials. Diane was a keen soccer enthusiast and an avid Spurs fan. She also, unusually for a woman, liked cricket – and, even more unusually, as a player as well as a spectator.

She was one of the regrettably large number of models who were asked, coerced or forced into wearing directoire knickers (DKs). There is also a rather unusual photo set of her  for the time in Spick 178. She is posing outside a shop window at night and appears to be wearing a pair of stockings under a pair of tights – the moiré patterns created by one layer of nylon on top of another are quite clear. Perhaps it was a cold night. This now being referred to as layered nylons, but the tights are more usually worn underneath the stockings.
