Mixed Glamour - eBooks
I have acquired many books over the years and am still doing so. The books below are copies that I think are worthy of preserving and presenting here. Unfortunately, there are no complete sets, just a few of each title or random copies, which there were many of. Most of these books are from the 1960s and early 70s, and they usually contain very little information other than the publisher's name.
The content is very typical of the time, with lots of great pictures featuring stockings, suspenders, and knickers, generally of the high-waisted variety, frequently posed in odd domestic situations.

Editorial: It is always considered an achievement to be first in the field with a brand-new idea, and in FROLIC we feel we have succeeded in starting a new trend in glamour magazines.
Comedy in pictures has always been popular, particularly with children, the number of comic papers on the market are just proof of that. But comedy for the adult, that's another kettle-of-fish entirely. Pity poor father who has to wait until junior has finished before he can read the latest adventures of his particular hero.
With FROLIC, both mother and father can enjoy its contents. This issue will remind ladies of their school days, and of the pranks they took part in, it will also remind the male section of what they missed by not being, (in most cases), Co-Educated!
Here's to our second issue, we sincerely hope you enjoy it !
About The Models: We're sorry we couldn't show you more of Barbara Moran this month, that's the delightful young lady on our inside front cover, but we are trying to get her back for another sitting and hope to show you more pictures in the near future.
However, lovely Marie Owens is back with us, and by now you will have read about her escapades at the Palais-de-danse. There will be more of Marie soon too, so look out.
Yvonne Shearer, one of our latest recruits comes from Preston. Although she isn't exactly a full-time model, most of her spare time is taken up by amateur and professional photographers alike, all clamouring to take her pictures. Vital statistics:-35-22-35.
" Double Trouble " features Brenda Speakman and Penny Devine, two more newcomers to Frolic and very welcome too! Brenda is at the moment engaged on secretarial work but would prefer to be a professional model. Her vital statistics being 38-24-35.
Penny, who was born in London works for a furnishing shop and aspires to be a professional model. Vital statistics 35-26-34.
