Spick and Span 2000
/Spick and Span 2000
Six more books from Spick and Span 2000 to add to your collection.
Just listed 30-plus really nice condition copies of Sun Bathing Review on eBay, all from the 1950s and late 1940s. These are becoming quite collectible, and they were certainly interesting and a bit odd in my view when they were first published. If they interest you, then have a look at my eBay shop before eBay removes them for breaching their very inconsistent policies.
Another 3 five model bumper editions uploaded, each with 60 all-colour pictures. See them on the Extras Page.
Another 50-plus low and lower volume numbers placed up for sale, all in good or very good condition. Fiesta, for me, was at its best during the 1970s and 80s, with plenty of hair and see-through knickers on display. Thank goodness for memories. Treat yourself to a copy; you won't be disappointed. The Sunday Sport, whatever your thoughts about it, was at one time a very popular newspaper. However, the news aspect of it was certainly very questionable. For a period of time around the late 1990s to early 2000s, it included a selection of free supplements: Mad For It, Ave It, Clout, and others. These primarily showcased their own models and frequently featured celebrities, actors, and pop stars of the time in compromising and revealing situations and poses. These have now become very collectible due to the celebrities they exploited who are now 25 years older with often very changed careers and interests. To my point, I have many excellent condition copies currently being listed on eBay as auction items, with more to come in about a week's time. So, if that interests you, please take a look. They don't come up that often, as I suppose at the time they were very much throwaway items, just like the paper. eBay Listings.
Escort magazine during the 1960s showcased British pin-up and glamour at its best, published as a full-size magazine rather than the familiar digest size that was popular throughout the UK in the 1960s. The content could not have been better, featuring full-page colour and black-and-white pictures mixed in with a bit of fiction and a few articles. What's so nice about it and what personally draws me to it is that there is great model information, with nearly all models being named and basic facts provided, making it all the more interesting to collectors 60 years down the road.
What I have always found interesting is that Escort was found in newsagents at the same time as the ever-popular Spick, Span, and Beautiful Britons books, which couldn't have been more different. Did the same customers buy both titles, and if they were Spick and Span fans, they might have been surprised to see some very familiar names in slightly racier pictures and poses. I suppose that those models who saw modelling as more of a profession than a few quid on the side were easily persuaded to show a little more. Lots of great-condition copies available at BrazenBooks.
I have quite a lot of excellent condition magazines from the 1960s in the USA top shelf category, which I have begun to list on eBay (so far so good).
I must say that these are some of my favourite magazine types because the pictures are excellent and in comparison to up to date magazines, the models are superb, all with slightly more rounded breasts and bottoms.
Of course, certainly no front bottom halves are on display, just dark shades beneath knickers. Fantastic! I am certainly enjoying listing them.
Some familiar names such as Dawn Grayson and Terri Martine, to just name a couple.
I have plenty of really nice magazines from the 1960s and 70s to get listed over at BrazenBooks, which in time will become the home of all book sales so it's worth keeping a watchful eye on from time to time.
But if 1960s men's magazines from the USA are your thing, please have a look at my eBay sales before the Americans snap them all up.
Lots of new small-format pin-up magazines and others listed on eBay, with lots more to come over the coming weeks. Check them out before they get taken down. Making a big effort to keep the eBay shop topped up with books and magazines. It's always worth keeping an eye on if you are a book collector. There is a link to the shop towards the top right of this page. Save me as a seller to get email updates when new stock is listed.
Newly listed: one hundred plus copies of Fiona Cooper over at BrazenBooks. Please check out the post and the Fiona Cooper sales page.

BrazenBooks has new stock being added most days. Lots of new books have been added recently to the UK Vintage Top Shelf category.
I have started listing on eBay lots of small format '50s Pin-Up titles and Playboys, so have a look if that interests you (until they get taken down).
I have recently sorted the stock I have in my store, with just over 5000 books in reserve that I think are worthy of listing on BrazenBooks going into the future.
If you are a collector of titles from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, please keep checking back and use the search function to locate what you might be after, as the New In page only shows the most newly listed items, so it is quite easy to miss books if you only check in occasionally.
Public Auction - For books over and above the initial 5000 (there are a lot more, with approximately another 7000 in deep storage arriving in the next few months), I will be utilising an auction house, Beeston Auctions, who run specialist Adult Magazine Sales on a 2-monthly basis.
The next auction is on the 12th June, and the sale catalogue is released about 5 days before this date, so put a mark in your diaries.
I will be using Beeston Auctions for books that I just don't like or want to sell on my sites. So it's worth a visit if you are an avid collector; you never know what you might see, which is, of course, my problem.
Lots of great stuff to come both here and over at BrazenBooks.
I have a considerable amount of "Readers' Wives" titles from the late 1980s and early 1990s, which I am going to start listing over at BrazenBooks. "Readers' Wives" from the 80s and 90s, in my opinion, are just so much better than nowadays, where everything is more polished and produced. I certainly prefer the more amateur feel that these magazines have. It is worth considering that if your wife or girlfriend wanted to show off all of her hidden treasures, then the "Readers' Wives" sections or complete magazines devoted to just that were one way of showcasing yourself. We have to remember that internet access at home was not generally available until later in the 1990s, and even then, it was pretty limited. Nowadays, it is all too easy to set up an OnlyFans, Facebook, or Tumblr account and away you go. I have lots to choose from, and I am not going to list them all at once; it's going to take me months. If you like "Readers' Wives" magazines, be sure to keep checking BrazenBooks for newly added stock. Most of the stock I have is ex-retail and never been owned, with me having, in some instances, multiple copies of each title and number.
If you're into feet, high heels, and nylon-clad legs, I have listed a nice selection of specialist magazines focusing on feet, heels, and stocking fetishes, all in very good condition. The titles include Footsy, Heels and Hose, High Heels and others. Available now at BrazenBooks.
"Girls Of The World" - I don’t know much about these magazines and books beyond the occasional date present, but from browsing through them, they seem to be from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Overall, they are quite appealing. They feature a mix of colour and black-and-white pictures, with most being full-page images, while the text focuses on information about the models and is not overpowering. The printing quality and paper are both very good. From what I have, I've noticed two publishers, with the main one being Top Sellers Ltd in London. Additionally, there are some from Export Publications USA that bear a striking resemblance in style and content.
I have six original magazines and five special thick books that seem to be compilations of the original magazines. Treat yourself - You won't be disappointed. Available now at BrazenBooks.
Rogue stood as a direct rival to Playboy, the groundbreaking 1960s American publication known for its tasteful presentation of female nudity and sexually themed content. It catered to a male readership with its mix of nude and partially clothed images.
A small selection of Rogue magazines has been added to BrazenBooks. The majority are in good condition and are priced to sell. Feel free to compare prices on eBay to see the value they can fetch.
