Confronted with a carpet that badly needed cleaning, the problem for sweet SALLY FORBES was in a sweeper that suddenly went kaput.
Sally being a shorthand-typist was not too well acquainted with the Ins and outs of what makes a carpet - sweeper tick, so if the problem had been one that really worried her, what was she laughing about?
