Jane Rennie

Jane Rennie - Scanned Prints Set 2

Four more scanned prints of Jane Rennie, all taken from the same sitting. She looks absolutely stunning, showing off her dark stockings and white underwear. I estimate that Jane would be around 80 years old now, and about 19 or 20 when these pictures were taken.

Ken Rush Glamour Collection

Do You Like What You See?

The first of a few posts from the Ken Rush glamour collection. Most shown here will be from the 1970s and home-processed. I am only going to show pictures here that I think fit well into this site. You may spot the odd familiar face as there is a tentative link to pictures already shown from the Private Collection of Negatives.

To kick things off, how about this lovely lady flashing her stocking tops, and knickers at us? She does look vaguely familiar to me, but from where or if at all, I don't know.

Linda Maple Leaf Studios - Folkestone

Sexy Linda

Scanned prints of the very sexy Linda, the star of Maple Leaf Studios.

Check out these two scanned prints of the super hot Linda, the star of Maple Leaf Studios! BrazenBooks has reproduction prints and films available. Films have been converted from the original VHS tapes that were sold only by mail order. They are very amateurish and the soundtracks are appalling, but they are definitely worth a watch!

Imagine strolling down Folkestone High Street with a stunning redhead like Linda by your side. Somebody did - heads would be turning for sure.

Jane Rennie

Jane Rennie - Scanned Prints Set 1

Four nice pictures of Jane Rennie scanned from original ToCo prints.

Jane was always dressed to impress, with her hair always up and she was partial to a frilly underskirt. She was a real girly girl, in the best way possible. These pictures show her in a white, long cotton dress, but what really caught my eye was the poodle motif on her left breast pocket. Any suggestions on the poodle?

Amateur Hour

Photographic Clubs

I have called this post amateur hour because I think that’s where these prints originated from an amateur photographer’s collection.

Many decades ago, I also belonged to an amateur photographer’s club and at the time had some really nice equipment. I wish I still had it.

Occasionally, the members of the club would all contribute to hiring a model for a club night or special event, the model was more often than not an amateur herself, earning a few extra quid on the side. Members would then get to direct her and take as many pictures as they wanted, all film of course, in those days, so snapping was not quite as mad as it is nowadays. It was all very above board, and topless was normally as far as it ever went, but it was fun and certainly exciting, even though often a little awkward at times with 20 or so men directing their cameras at some poor girl who was trying to follow our very vague instructions for those that had the courage to ask.

The majority of us just took as many pictures as we could afford. I was fortunate to have my own darkroom at the time, so I did not have to run the gauntlet of the chemist a week later, and at the end of it, there was no uploading to the internet, just hoarding your own prints for your own enjoyment. Great fun.

Who else was a member of a photographic club, and have you still got any of your prints? If I get the time, I will see if I can dig out some of mine.

Who Needs A Computer?

Adria and Jenny

Those inimitable and ubiquitous Bunny Girls are to be seen around all the best exhibitions in town. We bumped very happily into ADRIA and JENNY at Olympia, London, where they were adorning the Randax Modular Accounting Plan, which is a fully comprehensive computer-based accountancy system without which no organisation of any consequence should be without.
Actually, we'd rather have a computerised lawnmower that we could work from a garden hammock, and we wouldn't ask for anything else except convivial summer nectar served up by Adria and Jenny.
"What," asked Adria, the one on the left, "is convivial summer nectar?"
"Ah, well," we said.
"Heavens," breathed Jenny, the one on the right, "you make it sound terribly exciting."
"Come round and pour out for us anytime you like," we said.

Spick No 212 - July 1971

Nicola Taylor

Jingle Bells

Should have really got this one up nearer to Christmas. Great pictures of Nicola tobogganing in her stockings and suspenders. I am sure any teenage boys’ delight certainly brings another dimension to tobogganing. Nothing like ToCo and there never will be, I am sure.

The tinkling sound of sleigh-bells on a lovely crisp night sound heavenly when heard from the warm comfort of a fireside where you're thawing out your frozen tootsies.

Jingle bells speak of such nights, of snow and slides and toboggans and muffled-up men selling hot chestnuts. In the pure light of a snowy day, you can see for yourself it's not all bells and chestnuts for NICOLA TAYLOR. Toboggans are apt to cannon off tree stumps and deposit you in snow drifts. It's a lot of fun only if you can keep all your discs in place.

Emma - Featured Spick and Span 2000 Model

The Lovely Emma - Set 1

Emma started it all of in 2023 with the first book from the Spick and Span 2000 range of titles. Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing her 8 more times. She’s an absolute gem with all the right qualities and a smile that lights up the room.

Emma is a happy housewife from Hampshire, not far from where some of the most iconic Spick and Span models once lived. She was a regular on the Beautiful Brits website, posing in a variety of lovely pin-up photos in different locations, both indoors and outdoors. She always showed off her stunning stocking tops and that infectious smile.

Emma, a fitness enthusiast who ran every day to keep her gorgeous legs in shape. She does though have a sweet tooth and is a talented home baker, especially when it comes to cakes! She was more than happy to carry on the tradition of her neighbour Nicola Taylor, and we’re so grateful for that!

Ken Rush - Glamour Photographer

The More Exotic Side Of Ken Rush

Ken Rush, an aviation enthusiast, achieved remarkable feats at a young age. At just 16, he became one of the youngest individuals to obtain a glider pilot’s license. Additionally, he showcased his artistic talents, gaining recognition as an artist. After joining the RAF, Ken’s passion for aviation led him to pursue a career as a pilot, unfortunately, he was unable to pass the eyesight test. However, his artistic training proved instrumental, as it secured him a job at the Air Ministry in London, where he designed recruitment stands for exhibitions. Upon demobilisation, Ken embarked on a new journey with Astral Arts in Bond Street, London, where he crafted out a career producing aircraft paintings in diverse settings.

Ken’s early work included illustrations for popular construction kits like Airfix, Frog, and Revell. Beyond his aviation-themed paintings, he also illustrated several books on cars for Automobile Quarterly in New York. His Book of Fantastic Machines, published by Octopus Books, earned him the prestigious title of European Illustrator of the Year in 1976. A more comprehensive overview of Ken’s career and artistic skills can be easily found through a simple internet search.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Ken was also an avid photographer, capturing images of aircraft. However, it’s worth noting that his hobby extended beyond aviation photography, encompassing a more private aspect as a glamour photographer. This passion was a hobby rather than a part of his professional or public profile. Over the years, Ken amassed a substantial collection of photographs for his personal enjoyment, often privately commissioning models from agencies and other sources.

While Ken’s glamour photography delved into the allure and eroticism of the subject matter, it avoided explicit pornography. However, it did exhibit certain themes and focal points. Notably though, most of his pictures never go beyond topless. I believe most of these images have never been seen before because they were created solely for personal enjoyment and interest. In my opinion, this makes them even more special.

Sadly, Ken passed away last year at the age of 93, and it has taken time for his estate to be processed. Only recently were some of his personal belongings sold at auction. Ken’s hobby photography was included in this sale, and I was fortunate enough to purchase his entire glamour collection, which is substantial.

It includes tens of thousands of transparencies and negatives, thousands of prints, both colour and black and white many self-processed, reels and reels of cine film and camcorder footage, and all the photographs he acquired over decades of collecting. It’s quite a rare collection.

Most of it will eventually be sold through the BrazenBooks website, so for collectors seeking something truly original, there will be some great finds. As I begin sorting through everything and making it available for sale, I will be posting selected pictures here and on the Brazen site, similar to what has been done with pictures from the private collection of negatives.

So, let’s look forward to an interesting and diverse collection of pictures appearing here over the coming months and years, as it will take time to process everything when combined with more mundane tasks.
