Jennifer Taylor

On The Subject of Jennifer

Last month we were extremely good to all our impressionable male readers. We introduced JENNIFER APRIL ANN TAYLOR of Bristol to them and all those who couldn't wait sent us heavily underlined letters asking for more. They said if they didn't get more they'd die or something.

So, all right, here are more scintillating pics of Jennifer and anyone who is suffering from excruciating love at first sight can come and join us on our steamed fish diet. Apparently, if love hits you as excruciatingly as that, steamed fish three times a day brings you back to cool, man. We're so infatuated with Jennifer ourselves that we're not eating at all. We're just drinking apple juice. For your information, all it does is make you feel like a windfall. Dear lovely Jennifer, when can we go to the moon with you?

Linda Nash

Nice For The Visitors

Visitors' days at hospitals are designed to bring cheer and comfort to you, the patient. It's when your loved ones bring you juicy grapes and lots of light chat about your operation.

You wish they'd go away. Operations are interesting to visitors but unspeakable to you while you've still got the stitches in.

At the hospital in Portsmouth where lovely LINDA NASH is a receptionist, it's real nice for the male visitors. One look at Linda and they wouldn't mind staying for an operation themselves.

This auburn-haired dolly is a perfect example of how to make any visitor's first impressions of a hospital look like a picturesque home from home. She's twenty-three and a very keen amateur photographer. It goes without saying that she's even better in front of a camera than she is behind it.

Dawn Grayson

Finders Is Keepers

If you ever find a girl as lovely as DAWN GRAYSON lost in the world, try to persuade her that finders is keepers, then you can take her home and introduce her to mum and dad.

Gillian Yates

One Of The Rarer Blooms

In the West-end florist shop there are some lovely blooms, all so expensive that you need to sail off and find pirate gold if you really want to buy the occasional bouquet.

One of the rarer blooms in this exquisite establishment is GILLIAN YATES, who will come and create a flower arrangement for your dinner table that will make your guests feel you have found the secret of true beauty.

Of course, if you could persuade Gillian to join the party, then you really would have all that was necessary to keep everybody's mind off a sagging souffle or mucked-up cauliflower cheese. Simply gorgeous to look at is Gillian, and ever so musical to listen to.

Kim Scott

Dutch Treat

It was a rainy day in Holland when the plane arrived from London Airport. Then all of a sudden it was bright summer. Air stewardess KIM SCOTT had alighted.

What a treat for the Dutch. All the men in the arrival lounge stood on tiptoe to look tall, dark and handsome. One of them invited Kim home to look at his Dutch bulbs, but Kim said she never went anywhere with strange men.

"Who is strange?" he said. "I am not strange," he said. I am most normal and very handsome," he said. "My Dutch bulbs are beautiful," he said.

Kim was ever so polite but ever so firm. She's used to making that kind of impression on men all over the world. She made a most undeniable impression on us. Our photographer asked her out to dine.

"Dutch treat?" said Kim.

"When they're as beautiful as you," said our photographer, "we don't believe in Dutch treats. Let's put it all on expenses."

Cheeky devil.

Sarah Cunningham

Comfort For The Computer

The computer in the head office of the bank in London lost its nut at seven-thirty one morning. By the time its fairest operator, SARAH CUNNINGHAM, had arrived punctually at nine it sounded as if it was in the last throes of mechanitis tremulus, which is computerised Latin for the chronic shakes.

"Now, now," said Sarah, giving it a pat "stop clanking, you silly thing. Let's see exactly what's wrong with you.

And she fed it a relevant medical question. Out came the answer in a kind of fed-up frenzy.

"Where's me breakfast?"

It was the absent-minded night watchman again; he'd forgotten to feed the computer. So, Sarah, who picked up a lot of common sense as well as maths and French at college, fed it a lovely meal of machine oil and iron filings and the comforted computer happily got down to work on overdrafts.

Ingrid Stengert

Berlin Swinger

Swinging it very vivaciously in West Berlin is INGRID STENGERT, who has in the last year or so landed herself some highly exciting film parts. Not so long ago she was still knocking on the casting door, more in hope than expectation. Then it all happened at once and now she's starring in one Continental epic after another, and taking her clothes off in most of them because that's how Continental epics are these days.

Here she is doing some exuberant pirouettes after capturing the starring part in a story based on twin sisters who fall in love with the same man. Ingrid plays both sisters. What a lovely double act.

Linda Dean

Adventure Trekker

London model LINDA DEAN got a little bored with all the trendy potpourri of the capital, so she thought she'd go off on a trek of adventure.

She went on her bicycle.

To Clapham Common first. That was a bit crowded. So on to the wilds of rural Surrey. Great Scott, all that leaf mould and all those rabbit holes. It could have been anywhere, and it was just right for trekking.

Got a bit warm, though.

Better in just a sweater.

"Better for me or better for you?" said Linda.

"To be honest, me," said the photographer.

Hazel Shaw

Highly Polished

Never looking anything else but well-groomed is HAZEL SHAW, one of our favourite pin-ups. Hazel, a secretary, reflects the high polish of her gleaming car here.

Blonde, trim and vivacious, Hazel likes to model from time to time, it makes a glamorous change from keeping the office and the boss properly organised. She lives in a green suburb of Glasgow, overlooking a golf course, and the golfers at weekends are always slicing balls into her garden.

It's the most understandable slicing we know of.

Lesley Lovell

Just An Old-Fashioned Dolly

Very lovely and old-fashioned is Secretary LESLEY LOVELL, who works in London, is quite happy about nine to five and suspender gear, and never goes on about what the world owes her and how to blow up people she doesn't like. She thinks gunpowder and gelignite a bit uncivilised. What we need, we think, is a lot more like Lesley and a lot less of the others.

Estelle McDonald

Crack Shot

It was time to thin out the flocks of rooks which had begun to be a pest as well as a noise around the local countryside, and local lovely ESTELLE McDONALD took her gun along to join the shoot.

She got into a little trouble negotiating the terrain in search of the shoot, because she thought it would be rather fetching to wear a feminine petticoat or two among all the breeches present. They sort of got in the way, but she made it in the end.

She had to discard her petticoats but the blokes in breeches didn't mind, they thought her streamlined undies extremely practical for a shoot. Estelle blushed prettily and then went bang.

Pinky Sands

Learner Farmer

One summer day London dolly PINKY SANDS went down on the farm. She didn't really know what a farm was all about except as a place where cows wandered contentedly about, and farmers' sons chased the milkmaids. She had been a cosmopolitan city girl all her life and she found her days down on the farm all loaded with fresh air and fun.

Now she wants to give up cities and help a nice farmer to grow corn and barley and oats. Well, as she knew a spritely farmer's son, she asked him if his dad would like a willing milkmaid who would also be pleased to plant crops. The farmer's son said, "Never mind about what me dad would like, you're hired, so come and drive the tractor from this field to that one."

So, Pinky had a go with the tractor and drove it into a large field surrounded by trees and then said, "What next?" "This suits me fine," said the farmer's son, "it's a rural cul-de-sac." "Oh, you are saucy," said Pinky, fighting him off, "but it's lots of fun."

Becky Gold

There's Loyalty For You

Not only was Hampshire housewife BECKY GOLD determined to stick to her minis, but in an absolutely scintillating gesture of defiant loyalty she went around in her micro models.

With her long legs, her white boots and her cheeky knicks gallantly illustrating and advertising her loyalty, Becky gave all the fellers a fair old treat in her local high street.

Having spent a rotten time recently, in deep mourning for the departed mini, those fellers perked up no end when Becky glided in and out of the shops and wafted over the pavement.

"What a darling," said one feller.

"What an inspiration," said another, "why isn't she Prime Minister?"
